Transpower New Zealand Limited is a state-owned enterprise responsible for electric power transmission in New Zealand. Its main purpose is to connect New Zealanders to their power system through safe, smart solutions for today and tomorrow, and manages assets worth over NZ$5 billion.

In order to manage its operations, Transpower relies on many IT systems, including Dynamics CRM and SharePoint. Integration between these Dynamics and Sharepoint systems is available directly from Microsoft; however, different permissions and security models can make the exchange of information between the two systems challenging.
